In the Airport you will see counters with the sign: Taxis Autorizados-Authorized Taxis. These are the only taxis ( white with yellow airplane on the door) that are allowed to take passengers at the Airport. If you need a taxi, you buy a voucher at one of these counters, and you give it to your taxi driver. The counters are the only places where you can buy a voucher. Do not accept any other offer. The price depends on the destination and on the number of persons. The passengers of most international flights leave the restricted area in the exit E3, where there is one counter for Authorized Taxis just before customs and, after you go through customs, you will see another one to your left, next to a big sign of Alamo Rent a Car. If you leave the restricted area in the Exit E1, after customs you will see in front of you and to your right door number 10, that has a sign Taxis Autorizados-Authorized Taxis. After crossing that door you will see to your left a counter of Taxis Autorizados-Authorized Taxis. This is also the place where you board your authorized taxi. You may change foreign currency at the banks or "casas de cambio" (exchange offices) inside the airport. One USD is about nine pesos.

From the Airport in México City you have to take an authorized taxi to go to Terminal Central de Autobuses del Sur ( Av. Taxqueña 1320). The voucher for up to four persons costs 129 pesos ( 1 USD about 9 pesos). There are two bus lines that go to Taxco.
